more triplet news...

Dennis and I had another ultrasound and our first OB appointment last week. Both left us slightly unsettled...

With the ultrasound...our High-Roller dropped down into good position, but still no heartbeat. However, he did develop within the week and a half in-between ultrasounds. The doctors are still going to keep an eye on him to see what he decides to do, but it is going to be a long shot. Dennis and I are still pulling for him though! We were more upset that at our fist ultrasound appointment they never told us that there wasn't a heartbeat in him, but there were in the other two. Had they said that, I think we would have been a bit more prepared for this news. Like I said though, we are still staying optimistic that he will pull through!

At our OB appointment, both Dennis and I decided that we were done with Leanne (one of the midwifes). We saw her once with Freddy and we weren't impressed, but she was there for the delivery. I still wasn't impressed, but because everything went well I was willing to give her another shot. At this past appointment we both had enough. This is nothing against her experience or her talents as a midwife. We just don't gel with her personality. Needless to say, we didn't really learn anything at the appointment that I hadn't read in a book.

We go back on June 9th for another ultrasound and appointment. Please cross your fingers and say a prayer for our little ones!

Pretty Big Update...With Pretty Big News...

Well, I guess since it has almost been a month, I should write on here!! A lot has happened in the past month. I had a birthday (27 now!), my sister had a birthday (29 haha), Freddy is standing up!!! He is so adorable...he just pulls on my hands to stand up. Then he gets brave and lets go...and falls on his bum!

I absolutely love Freddy to death...so much that it worries me about having other kids. By the way, we are having other kids...3...at once...in December. If you add up that sentance you will come out with...Becky is having triplets and she is due Christmas eve!!!

Dennis and I just found out last week. I had known that I was pregnant for a while now, but we took the test a week ago to confirm it. Then the next day, I started to bleed...I panicked and called the doctor. On Friday I went in for an ultrasound. The test took about 35-40 minutes, and then we waited another 1.5-2 hours for the results. Dr Ted called..."Becky things look pretty good. You are having two and probably three babies!" As you can guessed I was floored. The phrase "oh my God" was all that I could speak for hours. Dr Ted went on to explain that two of the babies are in really good position and look great. The other (who we call High Roller) is sitting a little high. So we have to monitor him to see what he is going to do. Unfortunately there is a chance that he will not drop down, and therefore will not develop. But we are staying positive and praying that all three are doing well.

It has been a real shock to say the least. I have been reading up on triplets and trying to get as much information that I can. There is such a difference in what happens when you have 3 as opposed to just 1. I have already been yelled at by the doctor...I need to take it easy...REALLY. Yesterday he told me to get off my feet and be a couch potato. I am not good at doing that.

Well, I think that I have shocked you all enough for now...

Bye!
